Cancer is a motherfucker. It does not care who you are, what you are or how old you are. It is evil and does not discriminate. My name is Casey. I am 32 years old. On February 14, 2014, I was diagnosed with ALL-Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. I live in Chicago. More specifically Ukraine Village. I live in a single family home with my amazing husband, T Bear. I have been married for 4 years. I hate ants more than anyone would ever imagine.
Please note, I am not a writer by any means of the word. I have never blogged before. This is a first and just a way for me to tell my story and have a voice.
BC (Before Cancer):
I enjoyed working out, going out, spending time with friends and family. I just used the fucking word enjoy. How awful. I loved working out. Life was amazing. I had no complaints. I had plans to travel this year and do lots of fun things. I love working, I know what I just typed but it’s true. I loved going to work everyday. It was a part of who I was more than I ever realized.
I knew who I was BC, now I am just trying to figure it all out again.
